The Role of an Entry Fragger

Jett is the quintessential Duelist in Valorant. Your job is not to stay back and hold angles; your job is to break open the bomb site. When the initiator uses their flash or recon dart, Jett must be the first one to 'Dash' onto the site. This pulls the enemy crosshairs away from the main choke point, allowing the rest of your team to flood in safely. Even if you die during the dash, creating that space means you did your job perfectly.

The Dash & Smoke Combo

The most iconic Jett play is the 'Cloudburst + Tailwind' combo. You throw your smoke (Cloudburst) directly into the middle of the site, and instantly trigger your Dash (Tailwind) to fly inside the smoke. From inside, you have a 360-degree safe view to hear enemies, wait for your team, or burst out for a surprise kill. This single mechanic is what makes Jett irreplaceable on maps like Ascent and Haven.

Dominating with the Operator

Jett is the best Operator (Sniper) user in the game. Because the Operator makes you slow and vulnerable after firing a shot, Jett's ability to instantly Dash away behind cover after missing (or hitting) a shot breaks the fundamental rules of tactical shooters. On defense, buy an Operator, hold an aggressive angle, take a shot, and immediately dash to safety. It is an un-tradeable kill mechanism that frustrates enemies endlessly.
